"None of the parties can go alone against the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), but together they cannot lose," the HNS vice president said. He believes that the HDZ government would lose the next elections not because of its evident incompetence, but because of its corruptness.
Cacic also commented on the release of of independent member of parliament Branimir Glavas, saying that too much importance was attached to this case. "It is certain that nobody from the judicial system will cause harm to Glavas, and holding all of us hostage of the Branimir Glavas case does not lead to anything good," Cacic said.
He said that ideas to stop the probe into Glavas were insane, saying that this would mean that every crime in this country would be tolerated should the perpetrator after the crime start "a hunger strike with sugar and tea".
"The crime is no longer important, but the condition is. Let us not be ridiculous, that is dangerous. The court must do its job, the probe should continue and Glavas can prove his innocence in the judicial system," Cacic said.
