More than half of the 6.63 million registered voters need to back the draft for it to go into force. Apart from Serbia, polls are also open in Kosovo, but only in those municipalities mostly populated by Serbs, as well as in Serbian embassies and consular offices in 24 countries.
In order to boost attendance and increase the outlook of a positive outcome, the referendum was to last two days, with polling stations
open for a total of 26 hours Saturday and Sunday.
