The answers of some 2,000 people that participated in the survey show that Croatian drivers are very confident. As many as 63 percent believe they are better than the average and only two percent consider themselves worse than the average.
Male drivers are more prone to believe in their own superiority. As many as 71 percent consider themselves better and only one percent worse than an average driver.
The number of confident female drivers is slightly lower (54 percent) and only three percent of women believe they are worse than an average driver.
According to the survey, 23 percent of men believe they are among the 10 percent of the best drivers on Croatian roads and only 0.2 percent believe they are among the 10 percent of the worst drivers. Women have more self-criticism - 13 percent of them believe they are among the 10 percent of the best drivers and 0.5 percent of them think they are among the worst drivers in Croatia.
Half of the men interviewed think they are better drivers than women. 35 percent of men think women and men are equally good and only one percent of men think women are better drivers.
On the other hand, only seven percent of women consider themselves better drivers than men and 63 percent consider both sexes to be equally good drivers, while 19 percent of women think men are better drivers.
