ZAGREB, Oct 9 (Hina) - Croatia's National Committee in charge of
monitoring accession negotiations with the European Union on Monday held a
session in the parliament to discuss positions on four policy chapters: the
right to establishment and the freedom to provide and receive services,
intellectual ownership, the economy and monetary union, and entrepreneurship
and industrial policy. After the closed-door session, Committee
chairman Ivica Racan said that these were four chapters which had already been
discussed by the working group in charge of enlargement and COREPER. Croatia
has not been given any benchmarks for opening negotiations on them.
Racan said that the Committee expected the relevant authorities in the
country to draw up a strategy for a national industrial policy by the year's
end.
