He was asked by the press to comment on an article in today's Jutarnji List saying Croatia said no to a EU request that it send its troops to the mission in Lebanon. According to the daily, the EU requested Croatia to send a military police unit but this was scrapped after a review of the state of the equipment.
"If the request comes, we shall consider it at the government and together with President Stjepan Mesic, the supreme commander (of the Armed Forces) and co-creator of the foreign policy, and the public will be informed of everything on time," Sanader said.
