The SIP said that according to 72 percent of counted votes in Bosnia's Croat-Muslim entity (the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina), the (Muslim) Party of Democratic Action (SDA) won 25.36 percent ballots from a total of 910,000 voters who voted for new MPs in the state 42-seat House of Representatives.
The second-ranked Party of Bosnia-Herzegovina (SBiH), whose leader Haris Silajdzic has been elected for the Bosniak (Muslim) member of the state collective presidency, won the support of 23 percent of voters.
The list with Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidates for the state House of Representatives mustered the support of 13.74 percent.
The fourth- and the fifth-ranked are Croat coalitions: the HDZ BiH-led coalition (8.84 percent) and the HDZ1990-led coalition (6.96 percent) respectively.
The sixth is the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Patriotic Party led by Sefer Halilovic, which won 4.21 percent of votes, and the seventh party from the Croat-Muslim entety which will have a seat in the state parliament is the Democratic People's Union (DNZ) with 3.17 percent
In the state parliament with 42 seats, deputies from the Croat-Muslim federation have two thirds of seats (28 seats), while deputies from the other entity called the Republic of Srpska have 14 seats.
According to to the 82 percent of counted votes in the Serb entity, the League of the Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) recorded a convincing victory. Of 557,000 voters, nearly 49 percent voted for this party led by the entity's prime minister Milorad Dodik.
The second ranked is the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) led by the entity's outgoing president Dragan Cavic, which won 20 percent.
Another three parties from the Serb entity will have their representatives in the state Bosnian parliament.
A similar division of seats will be in the two entities' parliaments.
On Wednesday, the local media carried statements of leaders of parliamentary parties as announcing that various post-elections coalitions would be possible.
In the recent days, the SNSD chief Milorad Dodik claimed that according to the election's results, his party would be entitled to nominate a new Bosnian premier-designate, but this was met with some opposition from leaders of major Muslim parties.
As regards the three-man state presidency, the election results show that Nebojsa Radmanovic of the SNSD, Haris Silajdzic of the SBiH and Zeljko Komisc of the SDP will fill in the posts of the Serb, Muslim (Bosniak) and Croat representative respectively.
