Some 20 million kuna has been invested in the renovation of the medical school in Split. Apart from classrooms, the new facility will also have a research lab.
Mesic said at the opening it was important to constantly invest in knowledge so as to enable Croatia to keep up with achievements in science. He also praised the efforts Education Minister Primorac was making to enable Croatia to join the Bologna Process, a European reform process aimed at establishing a European Higher Education Area by 2010.
