Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia and other countries.
DUBROVNIK, Sept 4 (Hina) - An international conference called
"Philosophy and Democracy: Freedom and Justice" began in the southern coastal
resort of Dubrovnik on Monday, pooling scholars and students from Germany,
Korea, Japan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia and other
countries. The event, held at the Interuniversity Centre until
September 8, focuses on freedom and justice, mass democracy in the global age,
representation and subsidiarity, ethos, rhetoric, the rule of law and human
rights.
The organisation of the conference was supported by Croatia's Science
and Education Ministry, Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst and the
Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
