"I will meet the president of the world's strongest super power - the United States - which is yet another proof of a Croatia's firm foreign political position. President (Stjepan) Mesic and I worked on this together and we believe Croatia will join the European Union and NATO in the near future," Sanader said adding the support of the United States was very important.
Besides, the United States was the key factor in the resolving of crisis and ending the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sanader said.
Sanader reiterated that the role of the United States and the European Union in ending the war in Bosnia and other crisis areas in this part of Europe was big, adding that Croatia always supported the transatlantic partnership between the US and Europe.
Sanader said his talks with Bush would also focus on bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
