The meeting will offer President Bush and Prime Minister Sanader an opportunity to further strengthen the partnership between the United States and Croatia, read the press release issued in Hoover, Alabama, which Bush visited today.
The press release said Bush was looking forward to discussing cooperation in the war on terrorism and stability in Southeast Europe, and to supporting Croatia's aspirations to join NATO and the European Union.
Sanader's visit will be the first official visit to Washington by a Croatian prime minister since Croatia gained independence in 1991.
Former PM Ivica Racan was on a working visit to the US in June 2002, during which he met Bush and other top US officials.
