SARAJEVO, Sept 15 (Hina) - Croatia remains interested in regional cooperation and is ready to participate in mutual assistance among Southeast European states on their road to the European Union, Assistant Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tamara Obradovic-Mazal said in Sarajevo on Friday.

She was speaking at a regional conference called "Through Cooperation to Integration", which was organised by the Bosnian government's European Integration Directorate.

Obradovic-Mazal said there was no area in which the region's countries could not help one another, notably in the sharing of experience in the meeting of criteria on which the EU insists.

The chief of the Serbian government's Office for Association with the EU, Tanja Miscevic, and Montenegro's Minister for International Economic Relations and European Integration, Gordana Djurovic, also supported the need to further strengthen regional cooperation on the road to the EU.

The chief of the EU delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Humphreys, underlined the need to intensify communication in the region, recalling that the Union was created on such foundations as well.
