MOSTAR, Aug 16 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Democratic
Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dragan Covic, met EU Ambassador for the Balkans
Marye Daviet in Mostar on Wednesday and warned her about a possible anti-Croat
electoral engineering during the coming general elections in Bosnia.
"Dragan Cavic stressed that HDZ BiH would remain the strongest Croat party in
Bosnia, but pointed to the danger that the Croat member of the Bosnian
collective presidency could be elected by others instead of Croats," the party
said in a statement.
The meeting with the EU ambassador also focused on Europe's future and
reforms processes in Bosnia, the statement said. The two officials also talked
about the closing down of the Office of High Representative in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, the statement said.
