Cultural society urges Bosnian Croats to vote in general elections

SARAJEVO, Sept 9 (Hina) - The central administration of the Croatian cultural society Napredak on Saturday called on all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, notably Croats, to go to the polls in next month's general elections and use their right to vote in order to affect the country's future.
SARAJEVO, Sept 9 (Hina) - The central administration of the Croatian cultural society Napredak on Saturday called on all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, notably Croats, to go to the polls in next month's general elections and use their right to vote in order to affect the country's future.

In a proclamation adopted at today's session, the central administration underlined that not going to the polls would be the worst decisions Bosnia's citizens could make.

"Those who do not vote will have no right later to complain about the poor situation in the state, about their inadequate political and economic position," read the proclamation.

Napredak especially appealed to Croats as the smallest Bosnian people to vote. "All elections are historic, but these are the most important for the Croat people since the war."

Napredak underlined it did not want to tell Croats who they should vote for but suggested their votes should primarily go to those who genuinely considered Bosnia and Herzegovina their country and those who would be able to face voters today, but also in four year's time, with an untarnished reputation.
