Sanader made the statement at a session of the government which entrusted the Office for the Suppression of Corruption and Organised Crime (USKOK) to conduct a survey on corruption in Croatia in cooperation with the Zagreb Law School.
The government submitted to parliament for second reading amendments to the Law on Road Transport extending the deadline for the 'rejuvenation' of truck and bus fleets until 2012.
After a recent agreement with representatives of the Jewish community, the government formalised its decision on the construction of a synagogue and a Jewish cultural centre in downtown Zagreb, and set up a task force in charge of the project. Construction works will be financed by the government and the Zagreb city authorities.
Justice Minister Ana Lovrin said that by the end of January 2007 commercial courts in Zagreb and Split and municipal courts in Zagreb and Pula should join a single information system for the management of court files.
Those courts would thus become the first courts to have such a system enabling judges and the public to follow and analyse court cases.
