President Cavic said that the Croatian liberation operation Storm "discontinued the former Republic of Srpska Krajina" and that Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's initiative for calling an international conference on Bosnia was aimed at discontinuing Republika Srpska by a political storm. Cavic said this "cannot be supported because Croatia was only one factor in the region".
Cavic said that holding an international conference on the reorganisation of Bosnia-Herzegovina "would start a new fire in the region", because it would also mean a debate on the status of Serbs in Croatia, Kosovo and Macedonia.
PM Dodik said the Croatian prime minister made this statement because "internal political needs demanded it".
"They (Croatians) are frustrated by the fact that they had signed the Washington Agreement and now they are misdirecting their energy and blaming the Bosnian Serb entity for the position of Croats in Bosnia," Dodik said.
Dodik added he and Cavic were ready to travel to Zagreb for talks with Croatian PM Sanader on the solving of the status of Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
