The said bill does not guarantee that Croats won't be discriminated against in the exercise of their rights defined by the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Council for the Protection of Vital Interests of the Constitutional Court of the Bosnian federation reported on Wednesday.
The ruling was made after the caucus of deputies representing the Croat people in the upper house of the Bosnian federal parliament launched proceedings asking for the assessment of the bill on the public broadcasting company in the Croat-Muslim entity.
The council explained that the said bill does not guarantee that programme principles of the public broadcasting company called Javni Servis Radio-Televizije BiH would pre-empt discrimination in the use of the language and script of the Croat people.
The council emphasises that standards of the European Court of Human Rights and principles of the rule of law should be observed with the inclusion of clear and precise formulations in the law.
