The prosecution insisted on remanding Glavas in custody as it believes that this parliamentary deputy is exerting influence on witnesses in an investigation launched so as to clarify Glavas's role in war crimes committed against Serb residents in the eastern city of Osijek in 1991.
Over the past two weeks, the prosecution twice filed requests for Glavas's detention which were rejected by investigating judge Zdenko Posavec just as appeals which were turned down by the court as unfounded.
