A total of 58 passengers, including 39 workers of the Djuro Djakovic company, arrived in Zagreb from Damascus where they have been evacuated from Lebanon earlier this week.
The Croatian Foreign Ministry said the number of Croatian citizens who remained in Lebanon was still unknown. The ministry said all Croatian citizens will be assisted during the evacuation from the conflict zones.
The 58 people that arrived in Zagreb this morning were welcomed by deputy prime minister Jadranka Kosor and Foreign Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.
The Croatian foreign ministry once again called on all those who stayed in Beirut to report to the Croatian honorary consulate in the city, which will coordinate their evacuation from the crisis zone, in cooperation with the German Foreign Ministry.
