ZAGREB, July 17 (Hina) - Thirty nine workers of the Croatian company Djuro Djakovic, whose evacuation from Lebanon started early on Monday morning in cooperation with the German Embassy in Beirut, arrived in Syria this afternoon,
Croatian Assistant Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Vinko Ljubicic said.
ZAGREB, July 17 (Hina) - Thirty nine workers of the Croatian
company Djuro Djakovic, whose evacuation from Lebanon started early on Monday
morning in cooperation with the German Embassy in Beirut, arrived in Syria this
afternoon, Croatian Assistant Foreign Affairs and European Integration
Minister Vinko Ljubicic said. "Our workers arrived in Syria and are
expected in Damascus later this evening where they will be met by
representatives of the Croatian company INA-Crosco," Ljubicic said.
He said the evacuation plan remained confidential due to security
reasons.
The Croatian workers will be transferred from Damascus to Croatia
possibly on Tuesday.
According to the Croatian Television, the Croatians will be flown from
Damascus on a charter plane.
