The Justice Minister Lovrin on Wednesday held a news conference in Zagreb to inform the public of measures which had been taken since late March when the parliament adopted an anti-corruption programme.
Asked by reporters whether the ministry was registering a decline in acts of corruption since the start of the implementation of the said programme, she said that there were no such data given that a real state of affairs in this segment should now be established.
According to the minister, citizens' perception is that corruption is more rampant than it is really present.
However, she admitted, the number of processed acts of corruption is too small.
She said the ministry would like also to reduce the perception about the prevalence of corruption.
