Last Monday when the deadline for the application of slates of candidates expired, the local media reported that the Central Election Commission should now check the validity of lists of 47 political parties and over 9,000 candidates.
Until 23 July the Commission is expected to report how many parties and candidates have met requirements for their participation in the polls.
According to the Dnevni Avaz, in Bosnia-Herzegovina there are 48 registered political parties and all but one have applied for the elections.
