"The government was not informed of the content of their talks either before or after the meeting. We are waiting for information from President (Janez) Drnovsek and then we will take a position," Jansa told the press in Ptuj on Saturday.
Jansa said, however, that in foreign affairs "uncoordinated activity is not good," thus indirectly revealing that he was not satisfied with the criticism which Drnovsek levelled against the Slovene government after his informal meeting with Croatian President Stjepan Mesic in Slovenia on Thursday
After the meeting, Drnovsek and Mesic called on the Slovene and Croatian governments to attempt to negotiate solutions to two outstanding issues -- the state border and Ljubljanska Banka's debt to Croatian depositors.
Drnovsek said he was concerned about the fact that the two governments were no longer even attempting to close the two issues and that it was high time they sat at the negotiating table again.
Mesic said there was still room for negotiations and settling outstanding issues without arbitration.
