ZAGREB, June 28 (Hina) - Croatian Finance Minister Ivan Suker on Wednesday held talks with World Bank Chief Economist for Europe and Central Asia Predeep Mitr about the current situation in Croatia, the implementation of structural
reforms aimed at drawing Croatia closer to the EU and the fulfillment of conditions from the stand-by deal with the International Monetary Fund, the finance ministry said in a statement.

Wednesday held talks with World Bank Chief Economist for Europe and Central
Asia Predeep Mitr about the current situation in Croatia, the implementation of
structural reforms aimed at drawing Croatia closer to the EU and the
fulfillment of conditions from the stand-by deal with the International
Monetary Fund, the finance ministry said in a statement. The talks
also focused on the implementation of fiscal consolidation and accelerated
structural measures.
The two officials also talked about ongoing projects and projects to be
carried out in accordance with the guidelines from the World bank's Assistant
Strategy for Croatia 2004-2008, the statement said.
