EREVAN, June 18 (Hina) - Croatian Finance Minister Ivan Suker met International Monetary Fund Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato in Erevan, Armenia on Sunday for talks on the overall economic situation in Croatia, with an emphasis on
the implementation of a stand-by arrangement signed with the IMF in August 2004, the Finance Ministry said. The ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) marked the 17th anniversary of its establishment at the Jarun soccer club in Zagreb on Saturday evening. The latest research conducted by the European Union statistical bureau Eurostat shows that all new EU member states, apart from Latvia, are wealthier than Croatia, according to GDP per inhabitant.
