Vlahovic and Russian Consul General Vladimir Vanjijev exchanged notes and thus officially established diplomatic relations between Montenegro and Russia.
Vlahovic also received Polish Ambassador to Belgrade Maciej Sczumanjski who presented him with a letter on recognising Montenegro as an independent state and a note in which the Polish Foreign Ministry expressed its readiness to establish diplomatic relations with Montenegro.
After the talks with the two ambassadors, Vlahovic said Podgorica would open its embassies in all neighbouring countries and major European capitals by year's end.
