LONDON, June 20 (Hina) - Agrokor president Ivica Todoric and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development president Jean Lamierre signed in London on Tuesday a contract on the investment of EUR110 million in share capital based on
which the EBRD gained an 8.33 per cent interest and one member on Agrokor's supervisory board.
LONDON, June 20 (Hina) - Agrokor president Ivica Todoric and
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development president Jean Lamierre signed
in London on Tuesday a contract on the investment of EUR110 million in share
capital based on which the EBRD gained an 8.33 per cent interest and one member
on Agrokor's supervisory board. Cooperation between the Croatian
concern and the EBRD began five years ago with a EUR170 million syndicated loan
and since then Agrokor boosted its earnings from 3.5 billion to 13 billion
kuna, said Todoric.
The EBRD will remain one of Agrokor's owners for five to seven years,
he added.
The EBRD has invested EUR1.3 billion in Croatia to date by financing
more than 76 projects. It plans to invest another EUR100 million this year, but
Lamierre declined to say into which projects and companies.
