Biscevic also acquainted the US ambassador with Croatia's position on the Montenegrin referendum on independence, plans of the Croatian presidency of the Southeastern European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and Croatia's participation in a meeting of the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe in the capacity of SEECP chair in Belgrade on 30 May.
As an EU candidate country Croatia will continue with its constructive policy which will confirm that it is ready and interested in developing relations with countries in the region on the basis of good neighbourly relations, cooperation, equality, mutual respect and common contribution to a lasting peace, stability and cooperation in Southeastern Europe, the statement said.
