The women threw stones at the Serbs who avoided injury thanks to an intervention by the Kosovo police and members of the Kosovo Force, who threw tear gas to prevent the incident from escalating. The Serbs and police forces withdrew and about a dozen Albanian women were taken to a hospital in Prizren due to complaints caused by tear gas.
In March 1999 Serb forces killed 113 Albanians in Mala Krusa and burned their bodies. There is still no information on many people who went missing during the attack.
