ZADAR, May 19 (Hina) - The county court in the central Adriatic city of Zadar on Friday sentenced a 36-year-old man to six years in prison for war crimes against civilians.

city of Zadar on Friday sentenced a 36-year-old man to six years in prison for
war crimes against civilians. Neven Pupovac, an ethnic Serb from
Rastevic near Benkovac, was found guilty of maltreating and expelling Croats
from the village during the Serb occupation. He has the right to appeal.
Pupovac was arrested in 2004 in Bosnia-Herzegovina at a border crossing
with Serbia and Montenegro and extradited to Croatia.
