ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - The Croatian National Bank (HNB) has
intervened on the foreign exchange market for the third time this month in a
bid to stop the domestic currency, the kuna, from getting stronger.
The central bank on Monday purchased EUR69.6 million from commercial banks at
an average rate of KN7.275064 per euro.
The HNB intervened on the foreign exchange market on 8 and 9 May,
buying a total of EUR115 million and placing KN837.3 million on the market.
