THE HAGUE, April 26 (Hina) - The defence attorneys for Bosnian
Croat Pasko Ljubicic appealed the ICTY decision that Ljubicic's case be
referred to Bosnia, it was said at a regular press briefing in the UN war
crimes tribunal in The Hague on Wednesday. In a motion filed on 24
April, Ljubicic's attorney Tomislav Jonjic contested the decision of the ICTY
Referral Chamber citing errors of fact and misuse of justice.
Ljubicic, the war-time commander of a Bosnian Croat Defence Council
(HVO) special purposes unit known as The Jokers, is charged with a slaughter of
Muslim civilians in the village of Ahmici in April 1993 and with other war
crimes committed in central Bosnia.
