Paroubek met Sanader in his home town at the beginning of his two-day official visit to Croatia.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the Czech PM said that his country would continue supporting Croatia on the road to the EU and NATO.
Sanader added that there were no outstanding political issues between the two countries.
The Czech PM arrived in the company of a group of business people who will meet Croatian business people in Zagreb on Monday to discuss the expansion of economic cooperation, which Paroubek considers successful, notably in the sector of tourism.
Paroubek said that he expected more than one million Czech tourists to visit Croatia this year.
He said that he had first visited Split in 1969 with his parents and that he later vacationed on the Croatian Adriatic coast for years.
After touring the city's old part and Diocletian's Palace, the two prime ministers, accompanied by Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic, visited the nearby town of Trogir where they toured its historical monuments.
The mayor of Trogir presented the Czech prime minister with a 14th century signet ring of Trogir, designed by sculptor Matko Mise, and a monograph on Croatia.
