"Croatia has demonstrated progress absolutely in all areas. This is important and this shows that the European Commission has recognised our efforts and the huge job we have done so far," Kosor said on Tuesday afternoon after meeting in Zagreb with the head of the European Union Delegation, Paul Vandoren, following the publication of the Progress Report in Brussels.
This document also confirms that Croatia has entered the final stage of accession negotiations and it is the last Progress Report before Croatia and the EU sign the Accession Treaty, she said.
As regards the policy chapters on Competition Policy and on Judiciary and Fundamental Rights, Kosor described them as "very sensitive" negotiating areas.
The Prime Minister added that Croatia's efforts in the anti-corruption campaign and in solving the issues of shipyards had also been recognised.
"All in all, I am pleased. This report gives us fresh impetus to press on with our work," she said.
She recalled that a few days ago Croatia had closed three policy chapters and that another three or four would be closed next month.
"The two particularly sensitive policy areas remain to be closed in early 2011 and I am certain that we will close them," she added.
As regards the economic criteria mentioned in the progress report, Kosor said that it was important that Croatia was described as a functioning market economy.
"We need to work without a break to complete the negotiations and sign the Accession Treaty during the Hungarian presidency of the the EU," the PM said.
