ZAGREB, Feb 4 (Hina) - The processes of admission to the European Union and NATO are simultaneous and complementary processes, Croatia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, said at the 42nd conference on security policy in Munich on Saturday, the Ministry said in a statement.

Considering the EU's decision to launch membership talks with Croatia and the country's achievements in the implementation of the Membership Action Plan, Croatia expects an invitation to join NATO, Grabar Kitarovic said in her address to the meeting.

Croatia considers NATO not only a military alliance but a system of shared values such as liberal democracy, respect for human rights, free entrepreneurship and responsibility in ensuring global security and a just international order, the minister said.

Croatia's delegation at the Munich conference consists of representatives of the ministry of foreign affairs and European integration and defence, headed by Minister Grabar Kitarovic and Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic.
