community, Mufti Sevko Omerbasic,and the Islamic faithful in Croatia.
ZAGREB, Jan 9 (Hina) - The President of the Croatian Bishops'
Conference (HBK) and Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, on Monday
extended his best wishes for the Muslim holiday of Kurban Bairam to the head of
the Islamic community, Mufti Sevko Omerbasic, and the Islamic faithful in
Croatia. "As you celebrate the great Islamic holiday of Kurban
Bairam, I am particularly close to you and all your faithful. A firm faith in
the Almighty and Merciful God is a source of and an encouragement to unselfish
and generous endeavours to the benefit of every human being and hope for the
future of humanity," Bozanic said in his message.
The Chairman of the HBK Council for Ecumenism and Dialogue, Auxiliary
Bishop Vlado Kosic, also offered his best wishes for the occasion.
