BANJA LUKA, Feb 2 (Hina) - The director of the Sarajevo-based Research and Documentation Centre (IDC), Mirsad Tokaca, presented in Prijedor on Thursday the latest figures of the "Losses in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992-1995" project, which has established so far that 95,328 people were killed in Bosnia during the war.

Tokaca said the final toll would be known in two to three months, and recalled that in April 2004 there was "official manipulation" of figures indicating that 300,000 people had been killed.

Tokaca said Prijedor was nominally third in terms of the number of casualties, after Srebrenica and Sarajevo, but second after Srebrenica if the number of casualties was seen in relation to the population.

During the four-year war in Bosnia, 5,204 persons in Prijedor were killed or went missing, including 4,174 Muslims, 909 Serbs and 121 Croats. Among the Prijedor casualties, 169 Muslims, 876 Serbs and 10 Croats had soldier status.

Tokaca said that not one Bosnian state institution or official officially endorsed the IDC's work, which is financed by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.
