Thus, 29 families, that used to live in those socially-owned flats until the start of the war in 1991, can again move in their apartments. The rest of nine flats will be inhabited by new tenants.
The reconstruction cost about five million kuna, and funds were ensured by the Croatian Development Ministry.
According to the Vukovar office for returnees, displaced people and refugees, so far 3,635 flats in that formerly-war stricken town have been rebuilt.
Slightly above 1,300 flats still need to be reconstructed.
