ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - A trial chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has granted the provisional release request for retired Bosnian Serb Army officers Radivoje Miletic and Milan Gvero to
return to Serbia from July 21 until August 13, the Hague-based tribunal announced on Friday.
ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - A trial chamber of the International
Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has granted the provisional
release request for retired Bosnian Serb Army officers Radivoje Miletic and
Milan Gvero to return to Serbia from July 21 until August 13, the Hague-based
tribunal announced on Friday. The accused filed a joint motion on
June 26 asking for provisional release during the break in the trial, and the
prosecution had no objections.
Miletic and Gvero are charged with war crimes committed against Bosnian
Muslims at Srebrenica and Zepa in the summer of 1995. Their trial began on
July 14 last year and was set to resume after the summer recess on August
20.
