BELGRADE, June 25 (Hina) - Serbian President Boris Tadic did not make the apology to the Croatian people for the evil done in the war in Croatia on behalf of the ruling coalition, Andreja Mladenovic, spokesman for Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica's Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), said on Monday.

The apology was Tadic's position and for his positions he answers to the citizens he represents and who elected him in direct elections, Mladenovic told the press, adding that Tadic was not part of the ruling coalition and that his activities had nothing to do with it.

Serbia's ruling coalition is comprised of the DSS, Velimir Ilic's New Serbia, and Tadic's Democratic Party.

The DSS condemns all the crimes that happened on the territory of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s, Mladenovic said, adding that this was the best approach to the crimes and the evil done to all the peoples.

The DSS does not have a selective approach to crimes, he said, adding that it was necessary to establish the truth about the past, repair the damage and enable those expelled to return in order to develop good neighbourly relations.
