BRUSSELS, June 20 (Hina) - The European Commission has adopted a financial assistance strategy for Croatia for the period between 2007 and 2009, amounting to 438.5 million euros, most of which will be allocated for the construction of
institutions, the implementation of a joint farming policy and a cohesion policy.
BRUSSELS, June 20 (Hina) - The European Commission has adopted a
financial assistance strategy for Croatia for the period between 2007 and 2009,
amounting to 438.5 million euros, most of which will be allocated for the
construction of institutions, the implementation of a joint farming policy and
a cohesion policy. The EC also adopted financial assistance
strategies for other candidate countries - Macedonia and Turkey - and potential
candidates - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania,
amounting to a total 3.96 billion euros.
The key thing in the EU enlargement process is to have political,
economic and institutional reforms yield results in each individual country, EU
Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn said, adding that the EU would assist these
countries politically and financially.
