With this speech, the minister opened a reception for members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Croatia and Croatian officials dealing with foreign affairs, marking Croatian Diplomacy Day, observed on 7 June.
Grabar Kitarovic told the diplomats at the reception that Croatia this year had at least two reasons to celebrate its Diplomacy Day -- the 15th anniversary of its international recognition and important steps the country was making on its path to the European Union and NATO.
The minister expressed satisfaction with the fact that the last public opinion poll showed an increased support for Croatia's joining NATO and stressed that the results of the reform process, the state leadership and the support of NATO member states for Croatia's accession justified Croatia's expectations from the next alliance summit.
