Electricity consumption in Croatia rises four percent at an annual average rate, and Croatia, just like other European countries, is faced with the possible scarcity of power.

He announced the reconstruction of the biggest Croatian hydropower plant "HE Zakucac" on the Cetina River, and its modernisation will cost some 700 million kuna (approximately over 95 million euros).
HEP is planning to build some mini hydropower plants.
