The decision for his transfer from the prison hospital, where Glavas had been brought on May 10 after his health deteriorated as a result of a hunger strike, was made by the Department for the Prison System based on the opinion of a team of doctors.
The team of doctors examined Glavas on Thursday and Friday and concluded that he was in good health and that he could be sent back to prison in Osijek.
Glavas was sent to the prison hospital in Zagreb after he went on hunger strike on April 27 and refused to undergo medical checkups.
Glavas's lawyer Ante Madunic said his client was now taking liquids and vitamins and that he had agreed to undergo the necessary medical examinations in order to get stronger and be able to participate in his trial.
Glavas has been in prison in Osijek since April 17 on charges of involvement in war crimes against civilians in Osijek in 1991.
