OSIJEK, May 10 (Hina) - The police in the eastern city of Osijek
have pressed charges against three men from Tenja municipality, who reside in
Serbia and are out of the reach of the Croatian judiciary, on suspicion that
they killed 19 Croats in the area of Tenja during the Serb aggression in 1991,
Osijek County Police Departmentchief Vladimir Faber told reporters
on Thursday.
The three are charged with the torture and murder of 18 Croatian
civilians and a police reservist in the period from July to November 1991.
It is believed that Jovan Rebraca, 52, is responsible for the crimes as
commander of the Territorial Defence (TO) in Tenja at the time, while Bozo
Vidakovic, 59, and Milan Macakanja, 60, are responsible as TO members who
committed the crimes.
Faber only revealed the initials of the suspects.
