Judge Kovac and the County Court, which discussed the motion on Friday, concluded that there was no reason for an additional investigation and questioning of several new witnesses, because they would not provide any new information to help shed light on the case, Rozac said at a news conference.
He added that the witnesses were not relevant because they were not eye-witnesses, and that one of them was not in Croatia at the time.
The county prosecutor's office has two weeks to decide if it will drop charges against the seven suspects in the Sellotape case or issue an indictment, Rozac said.
The prosecutor's office can no longer request an additional investigation.
Asked if the testimony of Vjenceslav Bill, who died in Zagreb on Monday and who was interviewed as a witness in the case on April 2, was valid, Rozac answered in the affirmative.
Asked if another suspect, Gordana Getos Magdic, was still on a hunger strike, Rozac said that she was, but that he did not know other details.
