The investigation was completed three weeks ago, during which judge Kovac had heard 130 witnesses. After the County Prosecutor's Office requested an additional investigation, the judge ordered three more investigative hearings. Two such hearings have been held and the third has been scheduled for March 29.
Today the judge heard three prosecution witnesses and one witness for the defence of Branimir Glavas, an independent member of Parliament who is suspected, along six other persons, of murder of several Serb civilians by the Drava river in Osijek in 1991.
Fifteen prosecution witnesses and two defence witnesses are to be heard during the additional investigation.
Rozac said that the court had been informed by prison authorities that one of the suspects, Gordana Getos Magdic, began a hunger strike in the Osijek prison on March 21. He did not specify reasons for the strike.
Getos Magdic attended today's hearing.
