"I especially invited representatives of those countries which have still not taken a clear position on Kosovo's status," Sejdiu told the press after a government session.
He said Russia had doubts about Kosovo's status but that it had never stated that it would obstruct the definition of the status at the Security Council.
"Russia will be an important factor in the making of the Security Council's joint decision just as it was in the work of the Contact Group," said Sejdiu.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russia's permanent representative to the Security Council Vitaly Churkin said yesterday that Russia would request that before discussing the draft Kosovo status, representatives of Security Council countries should visit Kosovo and see how commitments from Resolution 1244 were being met.
