Integration Ministry, Zeljko Kupresak, said on Wednesday.
ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - The priorities of the European Union's
energy policy are increasing security of energy supply, developing renewable
sources, and energy saving, a state secretary at the Croatian Foreign Affairs
and European Integration Ministry, Zeljko Kupresak, said on Wednesday. He was speaking at the 12th meeting of the national forum on Croatia's
accession to the EU which met in Varazdin to discuss the liberalisation of the
energy market, the ministry said in a statement.
The head of the European Commission Delegation to Croatia, Vincent
Degert, presented the new guidelines of the EU's energy policy and said that
Croatia had fully adjusted its legislation regulating this field to EU
standards.
The national forum is a Foreign Ministry initiative aimed at informing
the public about Croatia's EU accession process and inciting public debates.
