The ministry yesterday hosted regular political consultations between a ministry delegation headed by the state secretary for political affairs, Hido Biscevic, and a Russian Foreign Ministry delegation led by Deputy Minister Vladimir Titov.
The two officials discussed cooperation in legal and consular issues, economic cooperation, with energy highlighted as an area of great potential, also within wider European Union-Russia relations, cooperation in infrastructure projects, and the improvement of the investment climate.
Biscevic and Titov also talked about preparations for a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation in the economy and science.
They concluded the level of bilateral relations was an incentive to prepare a visit by Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader to Moscow.
The two officials also discussed Kosovo, Croatia's Euro-Atlantic integration process, and Croatia's presidency of the South East European Cooperation Process.
