Remy Dourlot, a spokesman for UN special envoy Martti Ahtisaari, said that UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon had received Ahtisaari's proposed plan for Kosovo on Thursday.
The plan consists of two documents -- a final, comprehensive proposal for the status of Kosovo which has been only slightly amended after the conclusion of negotiations in Vienna on March 10, and a report for the UN Secretary-General in which Ahtisaari explains his proposal and presents his own interpretation, Dourlot said.
In an interview with Beta news agency, Dourlot declined to comment on statements by Western officials that Ahtisaari had recommended "supervised independence" for Kosovo, saying that the plan had not yet been presented to the public and that he himself had not seen it.
